CJ Kumar is a graduate of the ​University of Victoria and has a B.Mus ​and B.Ed in 2012 and 2013. He now ​works for the Vancouver School ​Board teaching music at John Oliver ​Secondary.

CJ has been studying turntablism at ​TableTutors DJ Academy for the past ​4 years. His instructors include Eric ​“Wunderkut” Cardeno and Matt ​“Slipee” Nishihata. He also has been ​greatful to be mentored by Relly ​“Relik” and May “Maiyah” who are co-​founders and instructors at ​TableTutors.
